About us

Hi, I'm Wiebke.

Wiebke Hocke — Gastgeberin im Dülkener Hof

Since late 2023 I've been renting out the apartments at Dülkener Hof together with a small team.

What was once a traditional hotel has become modern serviced apartments — each with its own kitchenette and private bathroom. You're entirely independent here: come and go as it suits you, and settle in as if you were at home.

The central location has stayed the same. Mönchengladbach and Düsseldorf are quick and easy to reach — perfect whether you're travelling for work or exploring the region.

As a former primary-school teacher I organise with passion and love friendly encounters and happy guests. See for yourself — we look forward to welcoming you.

About Dülken

Dülken — a charming small town on the Lower Rhine

First mentioned in 1210 · approx. 20,000 inhabitants · historic Gründerzeit architecture in a medieval fortress layout · approx. 35 km from Düsseldorf.

The centre is shaped by Gründerzeit (1880s) townhouses and small alleys with café terraces. Surrounding districts: Boisheim, Süchteln, Alt-Viersen, Amern — and Mönchengladbach to the south.

From the Narrenmühle (Jesters' Mill) to the old city wall and the local character „Tien Anton" — there's plenty to discover.

How does check-in work?

Self check-in via keypad lock — both the front door and your apartment door have a keypad. You receive your personal codes by email before arrival. No key handover stress — check in anytime between 3 pm and midnight.

What are check-in and check-out times?

Check-in: 3 pm – midnight · Check-out: by 11 am.
Other times possible by arrangement. Overstaying check-out by more than 30 minutes counts as one additional night.

Is breakfast included?

Not in the apartment itself. But: Bakery Stinges directly opposite (Lange Str. 55) — open Mon–Sat from 7 am, with seating for a comfortable breakfast. There's also a small kitchenette in every apartment where you can prepare your own breakfast.

What's included in the apartment?

Linens & towels (freshly made up), dishes & cutlery, kitchenette with coffee maker + kettle + microwave, iron & ironing board, hair dryer, heating, Wi-Fi — and a private bathroom. Everything you need for a self-catering stay.

Can I do laundry during my stay?

In the basement you'll find coin-operated washer and dryer machines. A wash cycle costs €3, a dryer cycle €2.50. An info board in German and English is mounted on the wall to your right. Please note: the machine does not give change. Please bring detergent (and softener if needed) — e.g. from Edeka Zielke, about 150 m on foot.

Are pets allowed?

Unfortunately no — pets are not permitted in our apartments.

Can I smoke in the apartment?

Smoking is strictly prohibited in all apartments. Non-compliance incurs a €250 cleaning fee.

How can I cancel?

We're flexible:
· Cancellation up to 14 days before arrival: 100% refund
· Cancellation 14 to 3 days before arrival: 50% refund
· Cancellation less than 48 h before check-in: no refund
A substitute guest can step in by arrangement.

Can I charge an electric car?

Charging via the household socket in the apartment is not permitted (fire safety). But: there's a public charging station approx. 120 m away (e-laden.de).

How do I get here by train / bus?

Dülken train station: 1.1 km / ~16 min walk. Dülken bus station: 450 m / ~6 min. Düsseldorf Airport: 41 km / ~30 min by car. See the map above for more details.

How many guests fit per apartment?

Our single apartments (no. 11, 16, 31, 32) are designed for 1 guest. Our double apartments (no. 14, 33, 34, 35) accommodate up to 2 guests with a double bed.

How much is the cleaning fee?

€40 for single apartments · €60 for double apartments. One-time fee, regardless of length of stay.

Where can I park?

Right opposite the building there is a large public car park where you can park for a fee (coins or via app). In addition, I offer two parking spaces in the backyard for €10 per day. Just let me know if you're interested.
