About Dülken

Dülken — a charming small town

On the Lower Rhine, about 35 km from Düsseldorf, lies a small town first mentioned in records in 1210. Today, around 20,000 people live in a layered, lively Dülken. The town centre is shaped by Gründerzeit architecture (late 19th century), grown within a medieval fortress layout.

The highest elevation reaches 58 m, flanked by a small ridge pushed up to 90.70 m by the last ice age.

Dülken borders Boisheim, Süchteln, Alt-Viersen and Amern. Mönchengladbach adjoins the town area to the south.
